Zurich, Switzerland Day 5
Today was a better day… as they say better is the day that . . . . . anywho this morning we go to the Hochblauen (which in English means ‘The kingdom in which Thomas rains’) JK… have no idea what it means but it is one of the high points in Germany… so we get to the top it is kind of like going up to the top of Pikes Peak in Colorado but it is green and not cold and there is no mountains (well of in the distance you can see the Alps… which i hope you do not mind i will be taking pictures of and put them on the blog)
so here we go

that is a zoomed in picture of a sign over a small town in Germany
this is a picture of the Alps

a picture of the rolling hills (mom and kl where sing ‘the hills are alive’ don’t know what that means)

now after lunch we are with the pastor dude and he has some hook ups with this Swiss watch dude (same guy who’s place we were at with the baptism two three days ago) so this is all in Zurich Switzerland
so here we are at a watch museum … if you know me

some good pictures of the scenery of Zurich

now we are going around Zurich with the pastor dude looking at some Zwingli (some dude in the Reformation my dad has been babbling about… this stuff goes over my head each time)

after walking a while (you know to stay in shape) we have a dinner and me of course gets something light to settle the hunger

awesome pictures… a little jealous of the pretzel!
The fifth pic is of Zwingli’s church (Grossmünster Cathedral – means Great Minster – it’s a 12th century EX-cathedral really as it’s been Protestant since Zwingli) where the Swiss Reformation started and was sustained.
Reading the kids blogs here I’m getting the sense that they are not so excited about my Reformation History lectures-on-the-go. Surprising because they smile and nod like they do care and comprehend. Maybe they are just being polite. I’m hurt.
I see Thomas got the faint Alps in the background in the second pic here. It’s what Kristen wanted in our Christmas card pic. http://midnightcry.wordpress.com/
Love the pictures! Tell your mom love The sound of music!! tee hee! The hills are alive ha ha!!
